General Description:
Under the supervision of the Operating Room Manager, the RN Clinical Review and Reconciliation Specialist will maintain charge reconciliation processes that ensure revenue capture and billing within regulatory and compliance guidelines. This position will work with the perioperative departments to create and maintain policies/procedures to ensure accurate charge capture, maintenance of department dictionaries, and CDM compliance. This position will review and reconcile OR EMR documentation is complete and compliant. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Operating Room manager with required maintenance of the CDM workflow including additions, deletions, and edits of procedure code requests in accordance with compliance of CDM policies and procedures.
  • Ensures strategic goals and objectives are met or exceeded by assisting Revenue Integrity Manager in utilizing proper resources, metrics, and talent to effectively achieve Game Plan goals and to extend the reach of our mission and vision.
  • Actively participates in effective employee engagement initiatives including departmental meetings, rounding, and Huddles.
  • Create and maintain preference cards in accordance with the needs of the department. Reconcile what is on the preference cards within the EMR and our current Supplies Station.
  • Assist the OR/SPD inventory Coordinator to reconcile nursing documentation in tandem with any charges and/or any pay only' s filed by outside vendor
  • Review and reconcile OR EMR documentation is complete and compliant
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area


Formal Education:
  • Associates Degree in Nursing required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred

Work Experience:
  • 1 year to < 2 years in healthcare setting
  • Operating Room experience required.

Required Licenses, Certifications, Registrations:
  • Active State of FL Registered Nurse License required.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association (AHA) required.
