General Description:
The Communications Generalist reports to the Manager, Communications & People Development. The Generalist performs a variety of functions to support the communications team; assists with the coordination of community outreach and speaker bureau activities; performs data entry in support of community benefit and monthly required reporting; and performs general assistant tasks as needed and assigned. The position shall exemplify the desired Culture of Choice® and philosophies of Parrish Healthcare.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exemplifies the Culture of Choice®, PHC mission, vision, and values.
  • Coordinates participation in on-site and off-site events, such as open houses, health fairs, health screenings, educational seminars, speaker's bureau, industry expos, etc., including but not limited.
  • Accurate and timely data entry into community benefit management software (CBISA) and serves as subject matter expert.
  • Coordinates new provider onboarding and welcome marketing materials.
  • Assists with maintaining the system's intranet (iCare) and parrishhealthcare.com.
  • Rounds quarterly on all the sites to stock and restock brochures racks; distributes publications, newsletters, comment cards, etc.; assures only PHC approved materials are displayed/available on PHC properties; and keeps the various bulletin boards updated and neatly maintained.
  • Accountable for loaned equipment check in/out procedure, ensuring loaned equipment (camera, projector, easels, etc.) are safely secured and returned.
  • Assist with updating the departmental Game Plan metrics.
  • Reads, clips, files, and distributes daily news articles by 9 am.
  • Participates in process improvement initiatives.
  • Participates on committees as assigned.
  • Performs similar or related duties as assigned.
  • Knows fire, disaster and safety procedures and regulations as it pertains to the work area

Requirements:

Formal Education:
  • High school diploma required, Associates Degree, vocational or other technical school, certification, training or apprenticeship preferred beyond high school.
  • 2 > 3 years related experience
